A Full White Outfit for Labor Day

When Labor Day arrives, it is time to abandon all your whites, a fashion rule says.

It is commonly known to wear light colors and fabrics during warm summer months, while switching to dark colors and heavier fabrics during the cold season. Since people already chose to follow this concept, the fashion world went ahead and made the rule an official one. After Labor Day, you shouldn’t wear white, knowing that the holiday, which is celebrated on the first Monday in September, represents the end of summer.

Accordingly, the no-white rule starts after Labor Day and lifts on Memorial Day on the last Monday of May, at the beginning of summer. However, it’s up to you whether you want to follow this rule or not.

As we’re celebrating Labor Day today, I’m ending the summer season with a full creamy white outfit, but my whites aren’t going anywhere during fall and winter.
